Fibre optic installation. Fusion spliced, OTDR tested, and certified.
We install single-mode and multimode fibre optic cabling across the UK for backbone connections, inter-building links, and data centre installations. Every link fusion spliced and OTDR tested with full certification on completion.
Every type of fibre installation your network will ever need.
From multimode backbone cabling within buildings to armoured single-mode fibre between sites, we install, splice, test, and certify every fibre installation to the highest standard.
Single-Mode Fibre
Single-mode fibre for long-distance and inter-building connections. Supports 10Gbps, 40Gbps, and 100Gbps over distances of several kilometres. Armoured variants available for outdoor and underground routes.
Multimode Fibre
OM3 and OM4 multimode fibre for high-speed backbone connections within buildings and between floors. Supports 10Gbps and 40Gbps over typical building distances. Cost-effective for shorter runs.
Fusion Splicing
All fibre joints fusion spliced for the lowest possible insertion loss. Splice loss measured and recorded for every joint. Fusion splicing used for all permanent connections and cable extensions.
OTDR Testing and Certification
Every fibre link tested with an OTDR to verify end-to-end performance. Splice losses, connector losses, and total link loss all measured and recorded. Full OTDR trace reports provided on completion.
Inter-Building Links
Armoured fibre installed between buildings via underground ducting or overhead routes. Suitable for connecting offices, warehouses, and outbuildings on the same site. Distances up to several kilometres supported.
Data Centre and Server Room Fibre
High-density fibre installations for data centres and server rooms. Pre-terminated trunk cables, MTP and LC connectivity, and structured fibre management. Designed for high port density and easy future expansion.
From route survey to OTDR certified fibre installation.
Survey and Route Planning
We survey your site and plan the fibre route, identifying any obstacles, duct availability, and access requirements. Single-mode or multimode specified based on distance and speed requirements.
Containment and Cable Installation
Containment, conduit, or underground ducting installed as required. Fibre cable pulled through the route with appropriate bend radius protection. Armoured cable used for outdoor and underground sections.
Termination and Fusion Splicing
Fibre terminated into patch panels or wall outlets. All joints fusion spliced. Splice losses measured and recorded. Connectors polished and cleaned to ensure minimum insertion loss.
OTDR Testing
Every fibre link tested with an OTDR from both ends. Splice losses, connector losses, and total link loss measured and compared against the design budget. Any issues investigated and resolved.
Certification and Documentation
Full OTDR trace reports produced for every fibre link. As-built drawings completed showing fibre routes and termination points. All documentation handed over at project completion.
Handover and Support
Project handed over with full documentation pack. Ongoing support available for additional fibre links, extensions, and fault finding as your network grows and changes.
How we have helped UK businesses with fibre optic cabling.
Inter-Building Campus Link
A Sheffield university campus needed a high-speed fibre link between two buildings 400 metres apart to connect a new teaching block to the main server room and support 10Gbps connectivity.
Armoured single-mode fibre installed via underground ducting between buildings. 10Gbps link operational. OTDR certification provided. Full manufacturer warranty in place. Link operational within two days.
Data Centre Backbone Upgrade
A Leeds data centre needed to upgrade its inter-rack fibre backbone from 1Gbps to 40Gbps to support new virtualisation infrastructure. Existing OM2 fibre was not capable of supporting the required speeds.
OM4 multimode fibre installed between all racks. MTP trunk cables used for high-density connections. 40Gbps links operational throughout. Full OTDR certification provided. Zero downtime during installation.
Warehouse to Office Fibre Link
A Bristol distribution company needed to connect a new warehouse building to their existing office 150 metres away. The copper link in place was causing network performance issues at peak times.
Armoured single-mode fibre installed between buildings via existing underground ducting. 10Gbps link replaced the copper connection. Network performance issues resolved. OTDR certification and documentation provided.
