vDPO (Virtual Data Protection Officer)

Are you meeting the regulatory standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)? If a company meets specific criteria set out by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), then they must appoint a Data Protection Officer. However, no matter the size of your company, the industry that you’re in or the information that you hold, it is prudent for all organisations to have a Data Protection champion who is ultimately responsible for defining and managing the control and processing of sensitive information.

For organisations that do not have this qualified personnel in-house, IP Four Digital offers a Virtual DPO service where one of our experienced team performs this role for you on a part-time basis.

We offer a turnkey DPO service where your organisation partners with IP Four Digital to ensure that all your GDPR compliance needs are handled in full. At an affordable price you get access to highly qualified CISO/CIO/CISSP and 27001 Auditors who will ensure that your obligations are met in full.

We will:

  • Provide expert practical advice, guidance, support and management.
  • Inform you of existing legal obligations, risk and the latest regulatory developments.
  • Allow you to respond to subject rights requests confidently.
  • Monitor your compliance with GDPR.
  • Help you to manage data breaches and advise on how these can be avoided in the future.
  • Act as a contact point for and cooperate on your behalf with the ICO.

The cost of non-compliance can be devastating in certain situations and we can ensure that you’re organisation is protected and your risks are managed.

A Virtual DPO is your organisation’s representative when it comes to GDPR. They will advise and train staff about regulatory requirements and they are responsible for running data protection assessments to ensure the business’s processes and policies are adequately protecting sensitive information. They are often the first point of contact for supervisory authorities such as the ICO and will communicate any data breaches.
